Christmas Events in St Martin's Square
9th December 2017
The St Martin's Christmas Tree was on the loose!
Shoppers were delighted last weekend as the St Martin's Square Christmas Tree, Douglas, was found at last. It had decided to run away, along with its talkative fairy and the pair were running amok around the Square, delighting passers by. Although the scale of our giant tree was a bit too much excitement for one or two smaller children, and certainly for Teabag, the resident four legged friend at Flappers & Gentlemen, on the whole the performer raised smiles and giggles and a good dose of Christmas cheer.
Watch out for more entertainment on Saturday 16th December
There will be more Christmas entertainment on offer in St Martin's Square on Saturday 16th December. At 2pm, 3pm and 4pm we are looking forward to free family-friendly performances from the Snow Queen and her Snowball Sprites, as well as the festive vocalising of the esteemed Guildhall Consort who will be singing a range of carols both traditional and modern. So grab a hot chocolate from Cocoa Amore or Gelato Village and come and enjoy the seasonal entertainments with us all in St Martin's Square.
