Protest Camps in International Context

Protest Camps in International Context

Political and environmental crises produce protest camps. People gather in camps to protest against injustice. People gather in camps seeking refuge from disasters, and shelter when they're homeless. Despite this, camps can be sites of great creativity and learning. Drawing on their recent book, Protest Camps in International Context, local authors Gavin Brown and Fabian Frentzel explore the history of protest camping around the world and ask why so many contain libraries. Part of the Everybody's Reading festival.
